Summer 2026 Auction (August 07, 2026 7:00 AM PT - August 16, 2026 7:00 PM PT)

Circa 1860s, 9 3/8", smooth base. A rare square shaped gin, heavily embossed and issued by the New York wholesale liquor firm of Meeks, Gorman & Meeks. The partnership operated roughly from 1859 through 1863, making its embossed bottles the product of a remarkably brief New York liquor house. Nice light whittle and character to the glass. A few light exterior scuffs and a small 1/8" flake off the edge of the lip, see photos. Despite considerable research, we were unable to locate or verify another example, suggesting this bottle may be unique. Jeff Wichmann Collection.
