Circa 1860s, 9 1/4", smooth base. A beautiful teal green Townsend's with whittle, heavy glass, and a highly desirable and rare lip finish. Some collectors believe this style of lip may be associated with the Lockport Glass Works or Lancaster Glass Works, two famous New York glass factories. A small resin repair on the edge of the lip that measures about 1/4" at the widest. A few minor areas of wear, roughly 1/8". An outstanding example of this highly desirable Townsend's variant.
