1870s, applied top. One of the most iconic Western whiskey 5ths, popular in the Comstock area of Nevada. This is an outstanding example with a strong strike, lots of whittle and a bright color with a good dose of yellow-olive mixed in. Tea Kettles don't get much better than this! Some very faint interior haze. There is a small flake off the bottom of the base, see photos. Thomas # 136
