Applied top, quart, mid 1880s. Here is a bottle that is rarely offered for sale. Finding an applied top 80s quart beer for sale in any condition is hard enough, but one like this with hardly any issues is almost impossible. Arnold & Rudolph Postel were beer bottles in San Francisco in the mid 1880s who created this beautiful bottle featuring a large and detailed walking bear. Usually, these beers are full of case wear, stain, chips, and bruises, but this example is better than most known examples with just a small manufacturing issue straddling the applied top and travelling down into the neck of the bottle. There are also a few very minor pecks on the edge of the base. See photos.
