1879-1880. Here is one of Marin County's rarest bottles. Joseph Kappenman ran the San Rafael Soda Works for roughly 1 year before selling it to Sylvain Provencal & Alphone Bresson in 1880. There are roughly six of these sodas known with about three or four in good condition. This example is better than most with a nice aqua tone and numerous champagne bubbles throughout. It's been over 15 years since a San Rafael soda was offered to the public.
