Tooled top, circa 1890s. This rare Western bitters was a product of The Norman Bitters Co. based in Santa Clara, California. Their agent was M. Mentor who owned the San Jose Drug Store during the 1890s. Fredrick Bohlin was a physician, chemist, and druggist from Santa Clara who likely partnered with Louis Gairard in the early 1870s when the product was trade-marked.
