These extra large western soda bottles are seldom seen with about seven known examples. Litton's Spring was located in Healdsburg and was a popular resort after a hotel was built on the site in July of 1874. An October 1874 ad notes that the Litton Springs water was being bottled and sent to San Francisco so we can assume these bottles date to the 1874 and likely not much later due to their rarity. In as dug, uncleaned condition this bottle still has some dirt on the inside. There is a small surface crush and shovel scuff above the embossing and two small crushes on the E on the reverse, see photos.
