Bennet's Celebrated Stomach Bitters / Jos. N Souther & Co. Sole Proprietors San Francisco
This is the second variant of the Bennet's bitters dating to the late 1870s. This mold comes in both tooled and applied tops. Often seen in straight amber, this example is a bright yellow amber and loaded full of seed bubbles. There are two very shallow in making open bubbles on front of the bottle, see photos.

This is a beautiful applied top example of a red whittled African Stomach Bitters. Loaded with whittle and very light swirls, it's going to be tough finding a better example than this.

J.A Gilka Berlin Bitters
Applied top, circa 1890s. Gilkas might be common, but swirled examples like this are not! Not only is it swirled, it's much lighter than most examples in a nice apricot amber color. Just a shovel scuff or two, great condition.

Tooled top, circa 1892. This rare Western bitters was a product of The Norman Bitters Co. based in Santa Clara, California. Their agent was M. Mentor who owned the San Jose Drug Store during the 1890s.

Suffolk Bitters Philbrook & Tucker Boston
Applied top, early 1870s. Here is a popular figural bitters from Boston in the form of a pig. Some wear under 'Suffolk' as well as the base of the bottle, or the 'feet' in this case. One minuscule fleabite on the lip too small to photograph. See photos.

Bryant's Stomach Bitters
Applied top, late 1850s. This appears to have a very faint sticky ball pontil. This is a shipwreck example of the Bryant's ladies leg from New York. As is typical with the shipwreck examples, this does have some etching to the glass. Overall, a strong example with great provenance! There is a bubble on the dot in the base that opened. See photos.

Applied top, milk glass, 1890s. These nearly unique case gin shaped bottles held "Berliner Magen Bitters", a product well advertised by S.B. Rothenberg while they were located in Oakland during the 1880s and 1890s.

Lilienthal Teardrop flask
No embossing on base. This is a scarce 1870s screw cap flask from the famous San Francisco liquor merchant Lilienthal & Co. There is a fingernail chip on the threads in the top, but with the cap on, it displays great. Thomas # 41.

These 'bark' or Faux Bois flasks were very popular in the 1910-1915 time frame. Likely a holiday promo bottle. Label on back that reads "Compliments of Bilard & Caravelli Crescent City. Compliments of the Season".
